From the beginning – How – Why -What -Where – Who

Note: I’m a pro se plaintiff (representing myself). Nothing here is legal advice. All allegations described below are allegations, not findings by the Court. Wherever possible I link to public court filings so you can read the primary sources.

Is it legal to say I’m suing Delaware North? Can I link to my case?

Yes. In the United States you can truthfully state that you’ve filed a lawsuit and link to public court records. To stay safe: don’t publish anything under seal, don’t post settlement communications, and don’t include other people’s sensitive personal info. (Quick safety checklist at the end.)

WHO

I’m Richard J. Dynas, and I’ve brought a federal civil action naming Delaware North Companies, Incorporated and related parties as defendants. I’m pursuing the case pro se (without a lawyer) because I believe the facts matter and should be told plainly.

WHAT

A federal lawsuit asserting claims under RICO and related statutes. In plain English: I allege a pattern of wrongful conduct that harmed me. The details live in the filings; the Court will ultimately decide what’s proven.

  • Case title: Dynas v. Delaware North Companies, Incorporated, et al.
  • Court: U.S. District Court, Western District of New York
  • Case No.: 1:25-cv-00606
  • Filed: July 11, 2025

  • PacerMonitor (public summary) — add the link here once you copy it: View the docket on PacerMonitor

Tip: if you don’t use PACER, PacerMonitor or CourtListener often have public pages you can share.

WHY

Because I believe powerful organizations must play by the rules. My filings describe conduct I contend crossed legal lines. Publishing this blog is my way to keep the story transparent and to hold myself accountable to the facts I put before the Court.

HOW (what’s happened so far)

Here’s a short timeline drawn from the docket:

  • Jul 11, 2025: Complaint filed in federal court (W.D.N.Y.).
  • Aug 22, 2025: Court holds a hearing; issues orders addressing sealing and scheduling.
  • Sep–Oct 2025: Briefing continues (motions, responses, exhibits).
  • Oct 6, 2025: Delaware North files a renewed motion to dismiss; briefing schedule set.
  • Ongoing: Additional filings and exhibits submitted; the Court will decide next steps.

I’ll update this timeline as orders issue and filings land.

WHERE

  • Court: U.S. District Court, Western District of New York (Buffalo).
  • Judge: Hon. Lawrence J. Vilardo.

WHAT’S NEXT

  • I’ll post plain-English summaries of new filings.
  • I’ll maintain a single Case Timeline page linking to public documents.
  • I’ll add a separate Exhibits page with short explanations and the public PDFs.

FAQ (quick hits)

Are these statements proven?
Not yet. Allegations are claims; the Court decides what’s proven after motions and evidence.

Why publish a blog?
To keep a clear public record, in my own words, with links to the actual documents.

Can I share this?
Yes—please share the public links to filings so people can read primary sources.

Safety & Fairness Checklist (how I’ll keep this blog legal)
